The engine in this Mustang is Ford’s optional 302-cu.in. two-barrel V-8 per to code “F” in the fifth position of the VIN and the decal on the air cleaner. The engine is “original to the car and has never had any repairs done to it,” it “starts and runs fine, with no smoke and no visible leaks,” and that the C4 three-speed automatic transmission “works as it should.” A 3:00:1 rear gear ratio in a Traction-Lok differential is denoted on the door decal with an “O” under “Axle.” As seen in the picture, the shifter top seal and bushings need to be replaced, but they work fine. The pony car has the original Dark Green Metallic paint from the factory (code “4Q”), “It shines nicely, but there are some blemishes in various locations, mostly from storage damage. There’s a small crease on the right front fender just in front of the door, as well as a few small paint ships.” Its top, glass, and seals are said to be original, and their condition “reflects the low mileage.” The Medium Ginger Deluxe knitted-vinyl trim (code “CF”) is original, as is the carpet, and both are in “beautiful” condition, but there’s “some discoloring on the plastic back panels of the front seats.” The factory 8-track tape player operates fine, but the AM radio does not tune in well.
