Description

Regarding the Cleveland 351-cu.in. V-8, “It was rebuilt 3,000 miles ago, it starts on the first attempt, and there are no leaks or weeps present.” It is equipped with a K&N air filter, Holley carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a serpentine accessory drive system, and Vintage Air A/C, but the extent of the internal modifications isn’t known. An aluminum radiator and an electric fan enhance the cooling system. a new distributor and fuel pump installed. From the shape of its pan, the transmission appears to be an AOD four-speed automatic. the XR-7 it had already been painted Competition Orange and outfitted with the hood scoop, rear spoiler, and Eliminator stripes. Regarding its finish, “Overall, it’s in perfect condition,” the seller says. “There are no swirls, chips, scratches, or rust, on the exterior.” On the rear valance panel, there is a small dent, however. The glass is reportedly free of scratches or cracks, the door and trunk seals are in “perfect condition,” and there’s “no evidence of water leaks.” All the exterior lighting works. Custom upholstery dominates the cabin, and a thick-rimmed steering wheel and upgraded bucket seats were installed. There are “no cracks or tears in the seating material,” “all the adjustments work and range-of-motion isn’t restricted.” The carpet and headliner are “perfect,” and the dome light is “functioning.” Autometer Carbon Fiber Ultra-Lite gauges that replaced the stock dials, the upgraded Kenwood stereo system, the heat, and the power windows all work. there are no visible leaks on the shocks and no cracked or damaged bushings in the suspension. From the photos, it appears to have also had a rack-and-pinion steering swap. The seller says that “about 75-percent of the tread remains” on the BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, sized 235/60R15, the American Racing wheels show “no curb rash or pitting,” and the four-wheel disc brakes have “no issues.” He notes that the XR-7 “drives pretty smoothly with no vibration felt at highway speed,” and, though there are no leaks from the lines or the pump, there is “a slight vagueness in the power steering.”
