This 1969 FORD Mustang MACH 1 Sportsroof coupe is an incredibly nice example of a locally owned and restored car that has been driven to shows and events by the prior owner on a regular basis since completed in 2009. Originally a Black Jade car with matte hood, the restoration allowed a complete color change over to Winter Blue, which covers everything on the car just like it was painted at the factory. Correct MACH 1 stripes, Matte Black hood, rear spoiler, and window louvers, and the requisite hood pins with cable safety lines help round out the look of the outside. Paint is quite nice, and shows about 5 small chips under 3mm in size, two runs about 3-4mm in size, and NO dent, dings, scratches, or damaged areas. Glass is in great condition, with only like markings to be found, and NO laminate issues or cracks. Chrome and bright work looks very good, and only the rear window surrounds and back-up light trim show faint patina from time. Everything else shines like new, and the whole car really presents exceptionally well at shows and events, as you can see from the photos. REAL Mustang MAGNUM 500 wheels show only light signs of use, and are wrapped in recent BF Goodrich RWL Comp T/A's with over 80% of the useable tread life remaining. All of the outside lights on the car work as they should, including marker, parking, turn signal, high/low beam, tail lamps, and brake lights. Electric wipers also function correctly, as does the horn. Inside, the full interior was replaced in 2009 from the original white knit to black. from the kick panels to the carpet, door panels to the headliner, and all parts in between, it was replaced with new black components that still look amazing. Steering column has light scuffs and scrapes on it, but the steering wheel is like new. Gauges were all redone, and function like they should. Wood upper dash, console, and door panel trim shows beautifully, with no scratches or damage, while the bottom black portion of the dash shows light marks from normal use and time. Aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo fits cleanly into the dash, and sounds great through replacement speakers inside the car. Even the CLOCK works!!!! Heating and air conditioning controls are all from VINTAGE, and keep the car as cold, or warm, as you want it to be. Shifter for the FMX automatic shows like patina, but since it was original to the car, it was left alone. Seats are like new front and rear, with no rips, tears, seam pulls or stains. Headliner is tight and clean, and everything you see in side the car looks really good. The engine is the 351 Windsor 5.8L V8 the car was born with, and it received a rebuild in 2009 with new engine seals, plugs, wires, and a mild cam, custom headers and exhaust, and more. It starts right up with the turn of the key, idles clean and smooth, and doesn't smoke, leak, weep, stumble, or stutter. The Automatic FMX transmission shifts incredibly smooth, and was rebuilt to stock specs as well. The car accelerates quite well, and doesn't backfire or stumble on the way to cruising speed. It handles 70mph on the freeway easily, thanks to the stock 3:00:1 Standard rear differential, and I have personally driven this car about 45 miles on a mix of freeway and in-town roads, and found it to be an exceptionally well-sorted out car. The prior owner used it to go to shows and events throughout Florida, so it has not been some trailer Queen left to rot in a garage and dry and out. Nope, this one has been driven, and we hope the next owner will do the same with it! Brakes are solid and sure, and pull the car down from speed without any odd shudder or pulling. It tracks straight on the road, and is so easy to drive, anyone in the family can enjoy it!
