This car has been with its original owner for 46 years! Sold new on August 10th 1968 to Mr. Goolkasian JR. by the Guy Gardner Volkswagen Dealership in Fresno California, the car lived a treasured and pampered life with the original owner in Sacramento California. Finished in sought after tangerine (code# 6809) over black interior, the car maintained its original factory applied paint to this date. But not only that, Mr. Goolkasian took care of his beloved 912 in a way, that we have rarely seen. The service documentation for this car fills three, color matched and embroidered binders with literally every receipt wrapped in plastic foil creating a history record for the car that is unbelievable. There are also numerous, hard to find period brochures and booklets, one of them still in its original plastic wrapper and never opened. The car was obviously never exposed to harsh weather, the body is in excellent, laser straight condition and shows only minimal wear for the 96597 miles traveled. The doors close with the distinct ping every early Porsche enthusiast knows and the gaps are perfect. The undercarriage of the car is 100% rust-free and still shows the original undercoating and some factory overspray. Priceless!! The interior presents the same way, fantastic original condition with a crack-free dashboard, excellent door panels, carpets, seats and headliner. The cars bright work is original and stunning! Currently Porsche sport seats and a wooden sterring wheel are fitted, original seats and steering wheel in excellent condition are available as well. Mechanically, the car is brilliant and performs just the way it was intended to. The original numbers matching engine has been completely rebuild by mark specialist Benton Performance in Southern California after the car was sold to its second owner in 2014.
