Description

The 250-hp 326-cu.in. two-barrel V-8 (block code “YJ”) has a 9.2:1 compression ratio to run on regular fuel. the Pontiac has been driven approximately 200 miles since the engine’s rebuild, and he believes this 326 to be original to the car. It starts well with no issues, there are no leaks, and the optional two-speed automatic transmission is smooth shifting. Coronado Gold, which is code “O” on this Firebird’s cowl data plate, was listed as a spring color for 1967. this F-body had its fenders, front lower valance panel, front floors, rear inner and outer wheelhouses, and the right rear-quarter skin replaced. the Pontiac has only been driven 500 miles since then, and “its finish is still in remarkable condition,” with no blemishes. The glass, including the optional tinted windshield, is “excellent,” the seals don’t leak, and the lighting works. The standard bucket seat interior is said to be “all original with some wear on driver’s side arm rest.” Its carpet is described as “clean” and the headliner as “excellent.” The standard design steering wheel isn’t seen too often, today. A console with a floor-mounted shifter was an extra-cost option, as was the radio, Deluxe seatbelts, and rear-mounted antenna. The suspension was rebuilt, and he had a front brake job done on the power-assisted drum/drum system. Aftermarket 14-inch Magnum 500 wheels were on the F-body when he got it, and new radial tires have since been mounted. No issues with the power-assisted steering, and the car tracks straight on the road.
