First, a little about the car. I acquired the car in 2004 and completely rebuilt it in 2005. Same owner for the past 17 years, and the car is largely the way it was from the 2005 rebuild. It was driven approximately 5,000 miles since it was restored, and was always stored indoors with gas drained and fluids changed annually. The car was built as a high performance street car, and is set up for both straight line performance and handling. This car has a 351W crate motor. It was not dyno-tested, but similar combinations in Hot Rod Magazine were tested around 430 hp. The car weighs 2800lb, so the car with the 351W, 5 speed manual transmission and built rear axle makes it a very fun car to drive. It has newer tires with 17” rims, upgraded front and rear suspension, and 4 wheel power disc brakes to stop. It turns 2100 rpm on the highway with the overdrive transmission. Owned by an engineer that works on powertrains. Driveability is good, it fires up easy and drives well for the power the engine is making. While the paint work is now 16 years old, it still looks like it is only a few years old, as shown in the images. The condition of the paintwork is a result of how carefully the car was stored. While the car is very fun to drive, we are only selling in order to make room for another project car with my children.
