The engine is a new 350-cu.in. small-block V-8 sourced from Jegs High Performance. A four-barrel carburetor with an electric choke mounted on an aluminum intake manifold, coated tubular headers, and a billet serpentine belt system. Cold starts are “easy with a smooth idle and no smoke or leaks,”. The original manual transmission was replaced with a Turbo Hydra-Matic 700R4 three-speed automatic with overdrive that “shifts perfectly,” The truck received a body-off restoration between 2018 and 2020. The stepside bed and bed wood appear like new. Cables instead of the original chains support the tailgate. The taillights are LED units. The original bench seat has been recovered with gray cloth and vinyl upholstery. The black carpet is new. The truck doesn’t have a headliner or door panels since this was a basic model. All those surfaces have been painted like the exterior. New air-conditioning vents are mounted to the bottom of the restored dashboard. New Dakota Digital gauges were installed. A tilt steering column is topped by a billet steering wheel. The modern stereo has Bluetooth capabilities.
