1964 1/2 Mustang convertible restored for top local show condition both in the cosmetics and fresh excellent mechanicals, new repainted in the one year only production just striking original Guardsman Blue color, great luster, just a beautiful Blue power top, looks terrific with the factory Guardsman Blue, a very original great body and great panels, has a very solid terrific underchassis, beautiful rare correct blue bench seated interior in top condition, blue factory steering wheel, dual front safety belts, blue carpet, an uprated 289cid engine installed in the first restoration, fitted with the Ford intake and the Autolite 2100 2v carburetor, just excellent compression as listed below, was an early original 260cid V8 car, an expensive proper ‘D Code’ aluminized single exhaust with rear transverse muffler is installed, C-4 automatic transmission, extremely solid underchassis, a full professional tune is being done at the Fraser Dante professional shop, the car came with the standard valve covers and standard air cleaner, originally a hub cap steel wheel car, now this has installed the great looking very hard to get and expensive 1965 styled steel wheels, Mustang Red center caps, new chrome bolts, then the new Bridgestone Toranza 195/75/R14 radial whitewalls are installed, came with the original factory generator, now being upgraded to the full alternator system with full wiring used in the 1965 and up factory production, this lighter weight charging system will now yield really better lighting and starting, this is a $1295 expense at Fraser Dante that is included in the price, also we are adding the dual 1965 horns with wiring to complete this desired update, next…big expense we are now replacing the drum brake system with new front power dual line master cylinder and disc brake system, also, since this was manual steering, the new very desired Borgeson variable ratio steering system is being installed by the experts! all of this work will make this great looking restored 1964 ½ convertible now really better to drive, professional detailing being completed for Summer 2022!
