The engine is a new 383-cu.in. crate motor that’s rated at 430 horsepower. The engine was new in 2019 and has approximately 2,000 miles on it. Engine components include an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Holley Stealth EFI, aluminum cylinder heads, Hedman exhaust headers, twin electric fans, and a serpentine belt system. The Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 three-speed automatic transmission was also new at the time of the engine build. Cold starts are easy thanks to the electronic fuel injection and an electric fuel pump, says the seller, who also reports a smooth idle, no smoke, and no drips. The gas tank and fuel lines are new. The Ember Red paint is said to be original, and it looks “very nice” overall. The car has been repainted since it’s so nice.” All the glass is original with a small rock chip in the windshield. The floors and trunk are solid, but there is a little surface rust on the frame. The headlights and taillights have been upgraded to LED units. The weatherstripping was replaced about two years ago, because the “originals were dry and brittle.” The carpet is also original and does have some wear spots on the edges, but no holes. Full floormats protect the carpet. The headliner is original, with no tears or fading. The gauges have been replaced with modern ones from Dakota Digital. The new air-conditioning system with R134a refrigerant is from Vintage Air. The original radio doesn’t work. The windows and locks are all manually operated. The steering wheel shows no cracks or issues.
