With a Carter BBD two-barrel carburetor and a compression ratio of 8.5:1, the engine was rated by the manufacturer at 215 horsepower when new. The engine is believed to be original to the car, and have been rebuilt during the car’s restoration. It’s said to start “immediately” when the PowerFlite two-speed automatic transmission, which is reported to shift as designed, is left in Neutral. The normal amount of slight weeps from the engine is noted. The engine bay presents as being stock and strongly clean. The Plymouth’s paint is described as being “show quality,” with no reported body blemishes, and with interior seals that are said to present and function as new. The chrome presents as being in excellent, restored condition, and the trim appears to be complete, straight, and undamaged. The glass condition is described as “excellent,” and all the exterior lighting is reported to be functional. The Savoy’s interior is finished in what are said to be factory-correct fabric patterns that present as being in excellent, undamaged condition. The floors correctly have rubber mats, which present as new. All of the interior trim is said to be present and in “excellent” condition. The instrumentation, including the factory AM radio, is described as being fully functional. The heater is operable. Seat belts have been installed front and rear. The chassis’ most recent suspension service is said to have been during the restoration, when the Plymouth received nonpower front disc brakes. The components are in “excellent” condition !
