1953 PLYMOUTH CRANBROOK 2-DOOR CPE P-24-2 Overall excellent condition. An original solid, no rust vehicle that basically needed nothing. In 2007/08 I started a total restoration thru 2010 to replicate the 53 that I had in high school. Rebuilt original engine-217 cu in 100HP, flathead 6cyl w/62,061 original miles, linked to the original 3-speed manual tranny. Bored 30 over, added a mild cam, headers and an intake to accommodate 2-2bbl carbs. Converted from 6v to 12v, added dual exhaust w/electric cut outs. Added complete new black/grey interior staying with original design but with different and up-dated fabric-for seats, door panels, headliner and trunk and spare tire cover, replaced original floor covering with black carpet. New smoke tinted windows, 15" torque thrust wheels w/modestly larger tires. Current mileage 64K+- Bright s/s & chrome trim, re-chromed and polished as needed. Added, in glove box, radio w/electric antenna, front/rear speakers. Removed exterior "Plymouth" & "Cranbrook" badging & front/rear bumper guards. Fun car to drive/cruise. I have used mostly for local events and shows where it gets plenty of attention. Always garaged.
