1951 Ford Deluxe Convertible original Flat Head V8 Restored and sorted, excellent both cosmetically and mechanically, gorgeous car!! Vin 0170H51-68440 The car on offer here is this gorgeous 1951 Ford Custom Deluxe Convertible. This car was well restored by the previous owner (recently deceased), with an eye towards drivability and user friendliness in this regard, he has succeeded spectacularly. The body is all original steel as is the frame. Its original Flathead V8 was recently rebuilt by Extreme motorsports, a marque specialist out of Milford, Ct and has 800 miles on it it starts easily, runs smoothly, and has good power and torque. The rebuilt, 3-speed, on the column manual transmission works as designed and shifts smoothly all sychros work well. The Red paint is excellent with a deep mirror-like finish. The panel gaps are on a par with the factory. The interior, featuring two toned black over red upholstery, is likewise in excellent condition. The carpets were replaced and all gauges were restored to working order. The car has been converted to a 12-volt charging system with d wiring and a modern alternator. All systems work as they should. The car features a modern, 4-core, aluminum radiator keeping the car cool in all temperatures. The convertible top and all of the hydraulics were replaced and work as designed. All trim and chrome was restored and excellent. The underside is as nice as the top and all suspension and brakes have been restored.
