The engine is a period-correct Ford 239-cu.in. flathead V-8. The engine has been rebuilt and has about 2,500 miles on it. the three-speed manual transmission, which was rebuilt during the restoration, shifts fine and the clutch was replaced a few years ago. The differential was also rebuilt during the restoration. This 1950 F-1 pickup received a nut-and-bolt, frame-off restoration over an eight-year period that was completed in the late Nineties. The truck has reportedly been driven sparingly and well maintained since. The blue paint is rated as “very good,” . Simple and basic are seemingly good words to describe a 1950 Ford F-1 interior and they apply here. The tan vinyl bench seat is in “excellent” condition. An original-style black rubber mat covers the floor and the dashboard houses new Ford licensed replacement gauges. The heater works. Most of the chassis/suspension components were rebuilt during the restoration, including the front axle and rear differential. More recently the shocks and tie-rod ends were replaced. The Firestone wide whitewall tires, sized 7.00 x 15, are mounted on body-colored steel wheels with trim rings and Ford logo center caps.
