This 1947 Ford Convertible received a full restoration and upgrades approximately 10 years ago. Interior re-upholstered in tan leatherette. Shows beautifully with contrasting dark red carpeting. No rips, tears or wear noted. Seat belts installed front and rear. Restored woodgrained dashboard and garnish moldings. All interior dash trim re-plated. Electrical system converted to 12 volts with new modern gauge cluster below the dash that registers accurately. Modern Kenwood AM/FM/ mp3/Bluetooth stereo with speakers in the kick panels below the dash. Tilt steering column with custom spoked steering wheel. Original heater/defroster is present but not connected, with the car being used primarily as a summer cruiser. Fog lights and turn signals added. Working windshield wipers. All glass is good. Windows roll up and down easily. Manual black convertible top replaced and in excellent condition. Trunk holds spare tire, top boot and tools. Trunk floor (and all panels throughout the car) is solid. Undercarriage is clean and original. Mechanically excellent. Upgraded to a 350 crate V8 with 350 automatic transmission. Starts easily, idles smoothly and runs great. Plenty of power, very responsive and FAST. Transmission shifts smoothly. Throaty dual exhaust is quiet around town and will open up on the road when wanted. A great, mellow sound. Power steering makes parking easy. Power front disc brakes stop smooth and straight. 4 inch drop front axle. 12 volt alternator. Original wheels wrapped with newer Coker radial wide whitewall tires with chrome trim rings and bright chrome Ford hubcaps. This is a great package. Since restoration this Ford has seen limited use. Current owner for 5 years has added just over 1,650 miles to the odometer. Always serviced and maintained, it is ready to enjoy now for local cruising or long distance touring events in comfort and style.
