The new Super series used Buick’s 248-cu.in. OHV straight-eight. The carbureted engine had a compression ratio of 6.15:1 and was rated by the manufacturer at 107 horsepower. The engine in this Super is said to be original to the car, with no stated rebuild history. It’s said to “start easily,” without smoke, and the three-speed manual transmission, change gears “easily.” No powertrain leaks are noted. The engine bay appears to be stock and generally clean. The two-stage finish on this Super is said to date to 1998, with chipping at the edges of some panels, but no swirls or dents. The body seals are reported to be in “good” condition. The cloth surfaces inside this Super present as being in excellent condition. the chassis components remain in “very good condition,” with no functionality issues other than “slight vagueness” to the steering.
