The powertrain in this 1938 Chevy consists of the always-popular 383-cu.in. small-block V-8 with a Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 three-speed automatic transmission. The engine has only a “few thousand miles on it since being built.” Engine goodies include a Weiand intake manifold with an Edelbrock carburetor, custom air cleaner, HEI ignition, and a full serpentine belt system. It has an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. The transmission shifts well and the engine starts with a few pumps of the gas and doesn’t leak. The bright green paint is rated as a “9 out of 10,” “absolutely zero rust throughout the entire vehicle including the underbody.” The glass and seals are all in good condition with no leaks. The running boards are solid and the mirrors are small aerodynamic units. The grille and bumpers are in good condition. The gray cloth custom interior with bucket seats, a center console, overhead console, and matching door panels is described as being in “great” condition. The custom dashboard is filled with Classic Instruments gauges and vents for the Vintage Air A/C and heater system. the A/C system “blows ice cold.” A tilt steering column is topped by a leather steering wheel. There is a working CD player in the center console. The trunk is upholstered and in good condition.
