One of the rarest Dodges for 1936 was this 1 of 592 built by J.T. Cantrell and Company in Huntington, NY. Cantrell built nothing but station wagon bodies during a long and successful period from the mid-teens until well after World War II and were known for the quality of their craftsmanship, their cost-effective batch construction techniques and their insistence upon building not only the wooden body work but also the interior seats to their high standards. Cantrell offered two versions of the Suburban, the (semi-sedan) and the (convertible Sedan). This one is the semi-sedan with open sides with side curtains. 87hp 217.8-cid L-head six . Newer Firestone Wide White-wall tires. Auxiliary Heater. Full Length Running Boards. Aisle seats allow access to third row seat. Finished in Green exterior with bright varnished wood framing and panels.
